Plotwright by 9592 Solutions UG (haftungsbeschrankt)
The Short Version
Plotwright is an offline stage-plot and input-list builder for gigging musicians and live-sound engineers. Your stage plots live on your device. There is no account, no login, no signup, no cloud sync, and no server that stores your content. The only thing that leaves your device is an anonymous stream of usage events, described below.
Data Stored On Your Device
Everything you create stays in the app's local storage on your device:
- Your stage plots — the gear you place, where you place it, and how it is arranged - Your input lists and channel labels - The act/band name, contact detail, and notes you attach to a plot - App preferences and settings
We never see any of this, because there is no server that receives it. If you delete the app, the local copy is gone.
No Network, No Cloud
Plotwright works fully offline. Building a plot, editing the input list, previewing the page, and exporting a PDF all happen on your device. There is no backend, no cloud sync, and no third-party processing of your stage-plot content. The exported PDF is handed to iOS's standard share sheet — at that moment you choose where it goes (AirDrop, Mail, Files, Messages), and that is under your control.
Anonymous Usage Analytics
Plotwright uses Mixpanel to collect anonymous product analytics so we can see which features get used and where the app falls short. This is the only outbound data stream in the app.
What Mixpanel receives:
- **Feature-use events**: which workflow steps happened — a plot was created (blank or from a template), gear was placed, an input row was added, the export sheet was opened, and the export/purchase funnel (export opened, metadata gate hit, purchase gate viewed, export completed, purchase started, purchase completed, restore attempted). Where a fixed value identifies the action — the gear type placed (a fixed enum value like "kick") or which built-in template seeded a plot — that fixed value is included; never anything you typed. - **Device and app metadata**: app version, build number, operating system version, device model family (for example "iPhone" or "iPad"), and an environment label (simulator, debug build, TestFlight, or App Store). - **A random anonymous identifier**: generated the first time the app launches and stored locally on your device. It is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, phone number, advertising identifier, or any other personal detail.
What Mixpanel does **not** receive:
- No stage-plot content. No plot names, no act or band names, no contact details, no notes. - No channel labels or input-list text you have authored. - No names, emails, phone numbers, or other personal information. - No IDFA (advertising identifier), and no cross-app tracking — the app shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt. - No location data. - No photos.
The app's privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking=false. Analytics events are associated only with the random anonymous identifier; Mixpanel is configured for product analytics, not advertising, and the data is not shared with any third party for advertising purposes. The test suite includes a regression check (AnalyticsEventCatalogTests) that fails the build if any event payload includes a field name that could carry user-authored content — this restriction is enforced in code, not just in policy. Analytics data is stored in the United States; events are sent to api.mixpanel.com. You can read Mixpanel's privacy practices at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
In-App Purchases
Plotwright is free to build with. Creating stage plots, arranging gear, building the input list, and previewing the page are all free. Exporting, saving, and sharing the finished PDF is unlocked by a single $4.99 in-app purchase. It is a one-time purchase — there is no subscription. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Apple receives standard transaction metadata. We do not have access to your payment information, and there is no third-party payment processor in the app.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your stage plots live on your device for as long as the app is installed. To delete everything from your device, delete the app — your local plots and the analytics anonymous identifier are removed with it.
Analytics events that have already been sent to Mixpanel are retained according to Mixpanel's standard 5-year retention policy for product analytics. To stop sending future analytics events, delete the app.
Children
Plotwright is a tool for musicians and live-sound engineers, intended for an adult audience. It does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13, and nothing in the app is directed at that audience.
Your Rights
Plotwright is developed by 9592 Solutions UG (haftungsbeschrankt), based in Germany. Under the GDPR you have the right to access and erase any personal data a controller holds about you. Because no personal stage-plot content is transmitted to or stored on our servers, the right to erase your content is fulfilled by deleting the app from your device. For the anonymous analytics stream, email support@9592.tech and we can request deletion of the events associated with your anonymous identifier on a best-effort basis.
