Data Collection

DriveLog stores all your data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your driving log, supervisor names and notes stay on your device. The anonymous usage analytics described below contain none of that content.

Third-Party Analytics

Starting with version 1.0.2, DriveLog uses Mixpanel for anonymous usage analytics, so we can see how many people use the app and how often. The app sends two events: one when you open it, and one when you log a drive. The drive event records only the length of the drive in minutes and whether it was a night drive. Dates, supervisor names and notes are never sent.

Each event carries a random identifier that the app creates on your device, plus technical details that Mixpanel's library adds, such as the app version, device model and iOS version. Mixpanel uses the connection's IP address to estimate an approximate location (city, region, country) and does not keep the IP address itself. None of this is linked to your name, your Apple ID or any account. Mixpanel does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and the data is not used to track you across other apps or websites. Third-Party Services

Apart from Mixpanel analytics, DriveLog does not use any third-party tracking or advertising services.

In-App Purchases

DriveLog offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited session logging and PDF export. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.
